FAMILY
NOVA Academy believes in creating a friendly, family-driven culture that helps ensure every student feels a sense of belonging and personal support. This is accomplished by utilizing a block of time during the school day to bring students together as a family unit. Upon enrollment, students are paired with others in their grade so their “families” can grow and progress together throughout their time at NOVA. This concept has been so successful that it has been replicated at other schools.
Family time is dedicated to:
- Student growth, accountability, and support
- College planning, goals, and reflection
- Service and compassion for others
THE WHOLE CHILD
Our holistic approach to education centers on the development of each student’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical well-being.
NOVA Academy’s commitment to The Whole Child includes:
- Offering therapeutic and support counseling by licensed therapists and Masters of Social Work interns to help with life’s challenges and individual student concerns
- Addressing socio-emotional needs that improve students’ abilities to form and sustain positive relationships, express ideas and feelings, and build self-confidence
- Employing caring and supportive faculty and staff who are committed to helping each student thrive
COLLEGE PATHWAYS
