Class of 2020 Drive-Thru Graduation

PLEASE READ AND REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY.

Drive-Thru Graduation Schedule:

• 10:00-10:30 AM – Butler Family
• 10:30-11:00 AM – Hobbis Family
• 11:00-11:30 AM – Mahlstedt Family
• 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM – Mitchell Family
• 12:00-12:30 PM – Santillan Family

Graduates and families participating in the graduation ceremony must remain in their vehicle at all times for the safety of graduates, families and staff. Each graduate and accompanying family must arrive during the graduate’s designated window of time by Family Class.

• Graduates should arrive wearing their cap, gown and any school issued regalia.
  • Cap, gown and regalia distribution will be on Monday, July 20, 2020, 10am-12noon at NOVA Academy. Click for details!
    • If you did not order your cap and gown, Jostens will be onsite selling caps and gowns for $40 (cash only) on Monday, July 20, 2020, 10am-12noon.
    • If borrowing a cap and gown, it must be navy or black in color.
    • If you are unable to purchase a cap and gown, you may still participate in the graduation ceremony, wearing professional attire.
• You may decorate your vehicle to celebrate!
• One (1) vehicle ONLY will be allowed per graduate, no walk ups. (No RVs, campers or oversized vehicles; must be under 6 feet, 8 inches in height to clear parking structure.)
• Graduates should be seated on the passenger side of their vehicle.
• No one is permitted to get out of their vehicle at any time (with the exception of the graduate who may step out of the vehicle once their name is called).
• Vehicles cannot line up earlier than their designated time.
• Prior to arriving to the graduation ceremony, PLACE AN 8 ½ X 11 OR LARGER SHEET OF PAPER TAPED TO THE FRONT WINDSHIELD / DASH OF YOUR VEHICLE WITH GRADUATE’S FIRST NAME, LAST NAME AND FAMILY TEACHER (this will serve as a name card for when graduate’s name is announced).
• Enter the NOVA Academy parking structure during your designated window of time. Follow the flow of traffic until you approach the top of the parking structure.
• Please DO NOT honk your horn while in the parking structure to ensure that every graduate can hear their name when called.
• Staff will announce each graduate’s name, on a microphone, upon arrival to the 4th floor. WHEN YOUR GRADUATE’S NAME IS CALLED, HE/SHE MAY STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE, AT THAT TIME ONLY, UNACCOMPANIED, AND STAND ON THE “X” FOR A PHOTO WITH ADMINISTRATION.
  • Each graduate’s photo will be shared with the family post graduation.
• Masks or face coverings and social distancing will be required.
