Meet NOVA Academy OC

Our Vision

Provide students access to an academically rigorous, blended middle and high school/college curriculum.

Our Mission

NOVA Academy will inspire, educate, and prepare all students to be successful in college, career, and in life.

Since 2005, NOVA Academy Early College High School in Santa Ana, CA, has provided a rigorous yet nurturing learning environment, giving students the unique opportunity to earn college credits while completing high school. A tuition-free public charter school, NOVA Academy was named a California Distinguished School in 2019 and has been recognized as a Best High School by U.S. News & World Report annually since 2015.

Families often told us they wished their children could have started at NOVA sooner—so we listened. Beginning this fall, NOVA Academy OC Early College Middle School will open its doors to grades 6 and 7, expanding to grades 6–8 in 2027. We’re thrilled to welcome middle-schoolers and their families as NOVA extends its mission to younger learners.

Our Values

Family
NOVA faculty and staff believe in creating a friendly, family environment to help ensure every student feels a sense of belonging and personal support. Students even participate in a class called “Family,” which other schools have replicated.
The Whole Child
A holistic approach to education centers on the development of each student’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical well-being.
Early College
Early college access gives students a head start on their college dreams while fueling confidence and long-term success.
Academic Excellence
Learning in a rigorous yet nurturing environment promotes a love of ideas while encouraging discovery, creativity, and engagement.
Compassion

Seeing through the lens of compassion gives hope, builds bridges, and develops a community of caring individuals.

An additional meeting of NOVA Academy’s Board of Directors will be held:
Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 PM.
