NOVA Academy is pleased to offer free after-school programming that helps students strengthen their individual talents, discover new interests, and—most importantly—have fun!
Recent extracurricular activities include:
Ajedrez 101
Weekly lessons teach students rules and strategies for playing chess, while training them for competition.
Color Guard
Students learn drill, dance, and flag techniques, along with choreography, and participate in local events and parades.
GAINZ Weightlifting and Training
Students learn tricks and techniques for weight-based conditioning and bodybuilding, including preparation for competition.
Guitar Classes
Aspiring musicians learn to play a variety of genres on the guitar from a local instructor who specializes in norteño, jazz, and mariachi.
Ice Skating Lessons
Through a partnership with Acrisure Arena, students learn the basics of ice skating and ice hockey.
Mixed Media Art
Students learn various art techniques, such as watercolor painting, drawing, and sketching. Instruction includes collaboration on a mural.
